Complete Production Process of Custom Cigar Bands
The production of custom cigar bands is a standardized and refined process, from design confirmation to final delivery, with strict quality inspection links to ensure batch consistency and product qualification rate. The complete production process is divided into 6 core steps.
Step 1
Design Communication and Artwork Confirmat
Customers provide brand logos, text content, design drafts, and customized demands (material, size, process, color matching). The professional design team checks the artwork for bleed margin, resolution, and printing adaptability, optimizes the design details according to production standards, and outputs print-ready drafts for customer confirmation. This step ensures that the design scheme fully meets production feasibility and customer expectations.
Step 2
Sample Proofing
After the artwork is confirmed, physical samples are produced according to the selected materials and processes. Customers check the sample’s color restoration, texture, size, and process effect. After confirming that the sample meets the standards, mass production is started to avoid batch quality problems caused by design or process errors.
Step 3
Plate Making and Raw Material Cutting
For offset printing and gravure printing orders, professional printing plates are made according to the confirmed drafts. At the same time, the selected raw materials are cut and sorted to ensure that the material specifications meet the production requirements, and defective materials are eliminated.
Step 4
Batch Printing and Special Process Process
Mass printing is carried out with standardized color matching to ensure consistent color difference of batch products. After basic printing, special processes such as hot stamping, embossing, UV glazing, and lamination are carried out in sequence according to customer customization requirements to complete the surface texture treatment.
Step 5
Die-Cutting and Waste Removal
The printed semi-finished products are precisely die-cut according to the customized size and shape, and the excess edge waste is removed. The edges are smooth and burr-free to ensure the appearance quality of each cigar band.
Step 6
Quality Inspection, Sorting and Packaging
Professional inspectors check the finished products one by one, eliminating defective products with color difference, pattern missing, burrs, and unqualified size. Qualified products are sorted and packed in rolls or sheets, with dust-proof and moisture-proof packaging. Finally, they are delivered by air, sea or express according to customer needs. The conventional production cycle is 5–7 working days after sample confirmation, and urgent orders can support accelerated production.
